A little bit about Lynch Accounting…

Lynch Accounting began in 1988 on the Southside of Chicago, when Dave helped out a few friends and family members complete their tax returns.  Working as an accountant during the day spilled over to nights and weekends as Dave was figuring out that he was really interested in tax preparation and tax law.  Dave loves talking about the beginning years of Lynch Accounting as he completed taxes without a computer and the use of his ‘expensive’ pen!  Dave still has copies of written tax returns from his early years and he still uses the same pen to sign all his completed tax returns to date!

When Dave married Sue in 1999, they moved out to the suburbs.  Dave continued filing taxes as most of his Chicago clients stuck with him.  Moving to a new area, Dave expanded his business.  Dave takes pride of his clientele. He is proud to say that he has clients nationwide as some have retired and/or relocated, but continue to use his services.

In 2015, Sue retired from teaching First Grade after 20 years. Retirement came a little early, but was a big positive step for Lynch Accounting.  Now, Sue is managing the company by answering the phones, responding to emails, setting appointments, and packing up all the returns for pick up and delivery.  This has allowed Dave to focus solely on talking and meeting with clients and completing all the accounting work. Together, they strive to make Lynch Accounting a business where their clients are not just clients, but part of the Lynch Accounting family.

In 2021, Dave and Sue relocated to Buckeye, Arizona!  Leaving Illinois with a full service Accounting firm was difficult, but being honest with our clients and providing them the tools needed to ‘stick with us,’ we have kept 92% of our clients.  Using a secure, encrypted portal system has provided our clients the confidence needed with their tax needs.  We are now a firm that services clients across the United States as our clients have stuck with us even when they have relocated themselves.  We pride ourselves in a small firm family.
